Festivities get underway at 10am with the 16th Great Skipton Santa Fun Run, bringing energy and Christmas spirit to the town centre as an expected more than 2,000 people complete a sponsored 5k or 3k route around the town. Seasonal entertainment and activities will continue throughout the day, building anticipation for the official switching on of the Christmas lights.
